Benjamin Netanyahu has pulled off what many did not expect. He won. Good for him. We need at least ONE world leader who will stand up to the savages. Lord knows we don’t have one here. Speaking of BO, lines from the lefty community organizers over in Israel clearly lead straight to
Valerie Jarrett’s Obama’s office. He even set up a few shell organizations to try and hide gubment money funding these efforts.
Meh. It’s not like the media will pick it up and investigate, so oh well. Again. It’s hard not to be a cynic.
But, for the real story, here’s how Joel B. Pollak at Breitbart put it:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apparently defied the mainstream media and the Obama administration with a stunning, come-from-behind victory in Israel’s elections on Tuesday. Netanyahu’s Likud Party had been projected to lose to Isaac Herzog’s Zionist Union by a margin of 26-22. Two exit polls released at the close of voting, however, suggested Likud would win, 28-27 (a third poll showed them tied). Netanyahu is now expected to form a new governing coalition.
The results suggest that the race shifted dramatically in the last few days, as Netanyahu opted for an all-in, “gevalt” effort to rally his supporters.
Netanyahu had three messages: first, that if Israelis wanted him to return to power, they would have to vote for his party; second, that he would not allow a Palestinian state to be created despite earlier commitments; third, that foreign donors and governments were mobilizing Arab voters, including some who oppose Israel’s existence, to turn out.
It was a blunt, ugly message that may create future political and diplomatic problems for Netanyahu, but it appears to have worked.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media are at a loss for words. They had expected Netanyahu to lose, perhaps even by a wide enough margin to put Herzog in the pole position to form a new government. They had expected economic issues to trump security issues, which were Netanyahu’s focus. And they expected far stronger Arab turnout (as did Netanyahu).
Herzog did put up a good fight, and will have cemented his leadership role in the opposition while building an international profile. The real loser is President Barack Obama, who undoubtedly hoped for a poor showing by Netanyahu. And the even bigger loser is the Iranian regime, who will now face an emboldened Israeli leader who made the case for his re-election on the grounds of strong public opposition to the generous terms of the nuclear deal that Obama is negotiating with Iran.
The most important immediate consequence of the election is that Netanyahu’s defense minister, Moshe “Bogey” Ya’alon, is likely to retain his post. A thorn in the side of Secretary of State John Kerry, whom he called “messianic,” Ya’alon is one of the few military planners in the western world with a grasp on the strategic realities of the Middle East. He has been a counsel of patience for Netanyahu, advising him not to waste resources on Hamas while Iran still looms as the enemy.
Netanyahu will also have some compromises to make en route to forming a new coalition. He will likely have to deliver on his promise to hand control over the finance ministry to one of his rivals, for example. And this may be his final term in office, given how close he came to defeat.
Yet the importance of his victory cannot be diminished. It is the biggest media surprise since “Dewey Defeats Truman”–a remarkable feat in today’s environment of big data, big media and big money.
This story starts by relating how a married couple deals with a question faced by many couples; i.e., involuntary, early retirement in their middle years. The author goes into detail about who these people are and what made them modern patriots, caring parents and grandparents. It is later apparent that all the detail is necessary to see how they, and the rest of the family react with and influence each other as they come together out of necessity, and set the stage for saving the republic.
There is a bigger story within the story. Over 100 years of progressive rule has essentially trashed our Constitution. The news stories follow Jack and Angel into retirement, chronicling America’s steady loss of individual freedom and slide towards anarchy.
It turns out that the People have had enough and decide to take their country back when the government goes too far. The story details how one group of Patriots takes on the Federal Government in a series of battles and skirmishes and does their part in our Second Revolution. With them, we learn what similar groups are doing in furtherance of their common goal.
The story ends with the reader wanting more. It also hints at a future adventure involving the main characters in restoring our Constitution to the greatness envisioned by our founding fathers.

The gun grabbers will never stop. My next move is to source the best reloading equipment I can find and make it for sale at great prices. Stand by for that – it’ll be a priority.
Here’s what we find out today from the Examiner:
Under intense pressure from majorities in the House and Senate, the National Rifle Association’s huge membership, the Obama administration has abruptly changed course and is rescinding its push to ban popular and cheap ammo used by AR-15 owners.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said 80,000 comments rolled in, many against the proposal to ban the 5.56 M855 “green tip” ammo. The NRA and the other groups still plan to flood ATF mailboxes with opposition letters just to make sure they go through with their withdrawal.
We all know they won’t stop. Now is more important than ever to elect bureaucrat-busting politicians (is that a thing?) into office to strip down these agencies.
A couple of weeks ago, I took my sister (mom of 3) to the range for the first time. I’m no instructor, so here’s how I handled it…
First, we spent some time in her kitchen going over the big rules:
1) Only point the gun at something you’re willing to kill or destroy
2) Always point in a safe direction
3) Don’t put your finger on the trigger until your ready to fire
4) Every gun is always loaded
We went through that a few times, then went through basic operation of revolvers and semi-auto pistols. At that point, I took out a couple handguns, checked for safety, explained what I was doing and let her experience the feel, operation and (again) safety information in the ease and comfort of her kitchen.
On the way to the range I explained range rules.
When we got there, I gave some basic instruction of grip and stance. Kept hammering her for trigger discipline. (Me: Get your finger off the trigger! Yes, she got sick of me saying it, I’m sure.)
All this to say, it is so important for shooters of all types to introduce friends and family to firearms. Not just the sporting fun of it, but the history, too. And of course, how and when to use firearms for personal safety. Socio-political context is also very important. After all, hunting and sporting clays has nothing to do with the Second Amendment.
This leads me to a great post over at Bearing Arms. From that article…
“We have seen a huge insurgence in young mothers – mothers of young children, wanting to get into firearms. And what’s happening is we don’t have instructors that are addressing their needs. So they just do it. They don’t do it right and then they end up having an accident,” Lauer said.
So as a firearm instructor and parenting expert, she’s going where no one has gone before.
“If you have baby on one side, it’s best to have gun on the other side,” Lauer said.
Every gun owner should read that article and the supporting articles linked from the post. There is just no reason at all that a responsible gun owner should have firearms where kids can get them. No reason.
Accidents are rare, let’s make them non-existent.
We’re 10 minutes into CSI Cyber…
So I consider myself a CSI aficionado. I’ve been a fan of David Caruso since he licked John Rambo’s boot. Horatio is just awesome. Even with the dramatics, he pulls it off. I figure I have as much credibility as anyone to comment on the new version.
Here’s the quick version. I told Mrs. Bredfan the other night that I thought Patricia Arquette was a dumb bit**. My opinion hasn’t changed.
But hold that thought for a second.
The first 10 minutes were tough to get through. I get that the plot line needs to be established and the characters need to be introduced. This is especially true in a pilot episode. But whoever directed this needs to be taken out back and shot.
The cutsie digital interference was just downright stupid and annoying. I finally get some decent square footage on my TV – not to mention paying out the ass for the HD DVR – and the dumb ass director thinks it’s a good idea to f**k up the picture to make an artistic point?
I thought maybe they’d just do it through the opening credits, but it didn’t stop.
Come on, man. I spent the better part of my childhood fixing rabbit ears and vertical holds (sorry if you’re under 40 and reading this). Now I have to sit through a director who is purposefully making the show I’m watching scramble?
Alright – crappy direction and production aside. The story line seems okay, and Patricia Arquette is no longer relegated to the depths of being a dumb bit**. Now she’s in the ranks of shitty actress too.
Just horrible acting.
I’m enjoying my second glass of Warres Tawney Porto. Maybe her terrible acting will get better.
More to come.
So….a woman from Los Angeles who was a tree hugging, liberal Democrat and an anti-hunter purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA . There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch.
In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor re-appeared.The angry woman demanded, “What took you so long?” He smiled and then told her, “Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a ‘recreational area’ so close to a Waste Treatment Facility. And I’m sorry, but due to Obama-Care they turned you down.
Last week I played this in front of a tree hugger. I was crying laughing…she didn’t think it was as funny as me. It never gets old…fu**in hippies.
